The SCICOM didn’t have any meetings the last year only some e-mail contacts and messenger contacts.
At the last meeting in Bergen, Norway 2015, the price for the “Best Perfusionist Paper Presentation, sponsored of 1500 € by Sorin/LivaNova went to Anki Olson, Karlskrona, Sweden for the “Lower inflammatory activation of retransfused residual blood with the Ringer Wash-In technique”.
The First time/School project sponsored by Maquet of 1000 € went to Martin Thelander, Karlskrona, Sweden for “No favorable impact of Retrograde Autologous Priming (RAP) on transfusion requirement: a pilot study”.
I, Liney, asked Anne Louise to be in charge of the abstract for the Joint conference in Iceland which she did.
This year we got 10 abstracts in total, two posters and 8 oral, which were all accepted for the meeting.
Next Joint meeting will be in Helsinki, Finland and the contact person for the perfusion part is Timo Porkkala. e-mail: Timo.Porkkala@sydansairaala.fi
